"Better defined" is exactly what you want!
Keep it up, and please keep posting. I'm betting that there are plenty of owners reading the board and harboring a pickle-shaped dog who will be inspired by your success.
Seems like a great start to me. I looked back to see the date of your first post in this thread and it was roughly a month ago. I'm not sure if you started the revised feeding plan and exercise right away, but let's say she's had a good few weeks to lose this amount. If she keeps losing a pound and a half every few weeks, she's going to be in better shape before you know it.
We always hear health professionals saying that, for most of us, weight loss should be accomplished in a slow and steady manner for optimal results.
Wow, congratulations! I can see a definite improvement over the video you first posted. FWIW, and with the disclaimer that I am not any kind of veterinary health professional, I do not think she is too skinny, and I actually think she could stand to lose a little more. Her waist is much more defined, but she still seems to be carrying a good layer of subcutaneous fat overall.
JMO. I hope others will chime in. But keep up the good work. She's looking much healthier.
I second that Cheri, she is definitely looking better, but she's still got some chub. No worries about her being too thin at this point. IMHO, just keep doing what you are doing.
She looks really good! don't worry about her looking skinny; my Mastiffs were never overweight, but they can easily put it on if I don't weigh out the food, I do feel mean sometimes at the amount I give them, but the truth is they would eat themselves to death if I allowed free feeding, given the size they are already as youngsters, it would put a terrible strain on their joints, so I have had to be really on the ball with food and proper exercise.
