Thank you both. It will be a sad household for a long while, I will miss that banging tail every morning . She is and always will be a trooper to us. It was a pleasure to be a part of her life, even for such a short while. I wish I would had longer. Thank you everyone for you help in making her happy and taken care of.

Thank you Bob. I am withdrawing from the electronics for awhile and just going to hit up trails and do a lot of shoveling. I will be back with talk of Jazz. But for now I just need to get myself together. I always feel like a failure when I lose a fur friend, and when someone else is the cause of such pain. I need to get over my grief before I can move forward. I will be back! Thank you all! I just need some time to myself. Much love to you all!

Oh, how sad,Becky! I'm feeling very much with you. It is very difficult to go through the mourning phase, I know how it is, because I already lost so many cats throughout my life time. I always needed a long time to get over this. But at least I can promise you one thing: As you loved your animal so much, love and memories will always remain and so in your mind your Dot will be with you for ever.
I too would like to give you a big big hug! I hope we will hear from you again soon.

Unfortunatly due to the large amount of toxins in her blood, and the vets view of the photos we sent, the chance of survival would have been less than 20%. He said he would treat if we wished, but told us he would not be surprised if she died before dialysis was complete, and with her long term care up here without a vet close by to monitor, adding on her emaciation, he suggested we put her down.
Her breathing got labored late this afternoon, so we sent her on the evening flight. I am bawling my eyes out. I really had hoped it was something simple. They will still do a physical, if she makes the flight alive. I am making my sister pick her up from the airport and take her to the hospital. I have to go now. I need to go clean something to clear my head of the rage and sadness.
I'm sobbing too, Becky -- No words suffice ... Holding vigil here till we get the next word from you. God BLESS Dot on her trip (sometimes they SURPRISE the Vet and recover) !!!

She did not recover. They did not bother with the physical. I had to send her to an emerg vet, as the useless vet I was dealing with would not stay open an hour longer to receive her. Sadly my sister got to be the one to say goodbye. And now that Jim was dealing with Jazz while I was caring for Dot, he will no longer even look at me, just waits for Jim..
RIP Miss Dotty Dot, you were the light of my life everyday you were here. Thank you everyone for you kind words.

It is very hard, dear Becky. i too hope your heart will heal with time. Keep in mind that you've done everything you could. Don't be too sad because of the reaction of Jazz. I think this will need time too and he will find his way to you again

Oh Becky, my heart is hurting for you so much -- Dot is at PEACE in His arms now, without fear or pain or sorrow, but we here all understand your grief at this tearful time ... However, I believe this too : there is a New Light coming into your LIFE embodied by Another Dog whenever you are ready.
If it were me in your shoes, I would simply leave Jazz to his love affair with Jim (emotionally speaking) and actively seek out an appropriate Canine Companion who will be YOURS body & soul, because She will Heal you as only a new dog can do!
Run free across the Rainbow Bridge to your joyous reward, dear sweet & gentle Dot.

That one made me laugh Candi would be good if Jim wanted a dog..but he doesn't
Thank you Christina, and Cheri. She is pain free, and enjoyed her time with us . I am happy with that. We can't save them all, but we can sure make them enjoy the life they have!
We will see about another pup in the future. Off to cut wood! Hope you all have a great day!
