Titus PS was imported into the US by Nancy Sutton http://www.westwoodkennels.com , she also has a Titus daughter and 2 titus grand daughter. She would be best to ask.
Todd and Chris,
Thanks for your responses. They give me a little more perspective on my 13 month old bitch. What you are describing sounds similiar to the behavior I have seen in my dog as she matures. I think people unfamiliar with these lines might tend to see this suspicion/insecurity as a temperament fault, and I can see why. I see the natural distrust as a mental trait which can lead to a rawer type of aggression with maturity, provided, the right training is provided. But this belief about these lines is contrary to the belief that the dogs with the best nerves are consistently comfortable around new situations and unfamiliar people, dogs, etc., and don't go through any so-called fear periods. I guess it's a matter of sharpness and if there is the right blend of genetics and training/environment.
There are alot of beliefs about the different lines, that I find amusing. As in any line there are exceptions. I have found some very tough dogs and bitches in these lines. The bitches seem to take longer to mature. However, there defense shows a lot sooner. When all said and done and fully mature they are very very nice. It is just the beginning that is a little slow and frustrating. As long as, you build a solid foundation even while this is going on you will be very happy. Don't coddle the dog and so forth. Go out socialize, expose to anything and everything you can think of. Get some agility obstacles get them climbing over them. Go out to a Home Depot or Menards or something and get tarps, and welcome mats, and the like. Play ball with them running over these things. It is actually fun to think of new ways to expose your dog.

Not to be a snot, Derick, but if you're going to become an aficionado of these lines you should note that it's "Czech" (as in the Czech Republic) and not "Check." Kapish? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
