Location: Oregon
Age: 32
Female, married, two teenage daughters
Occupation: Mom, part time videographer at TV station
Dogs: Abby, mixed breed house dog with an attitude, Lucky (Eugene J Roddenberry, TD), Labrador Retriever, STILL working toward state certification in tracking/trailing for SAR (Lucky had a serious setback, surgery followed by 6 month recovery).
3 cats: Arrowhead, Mojo, Soccer
3 goldfish: Spot, Blackie, and Joseph
Experience: I'm one of those "Had dogs all my life" types <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> ; St. Bernard (Sweetie), Terrier mix (Doobie), Shep/Lab X (Shade), Blue Heeler/BC mix (Abby), Labrador Retriever (Lucky).
Lucky is my first working dog, and I'm pretty new to SAR. It's extremely rewarding for me, and I hope to make a long career of it. I've considered PP training, still haven't ruled it out, if I ever get over my thing for Labs and decide to get a GSD.

THere are some very reputable breeders on this board. That would probably be the best place to start your looking.

From: N.W. Montana near glacier park
Age: 39
Like's: To many to mention
Passions: Akita's
Dislikes: Most people
Work: Private security/alarm comp.
Use to train or re-train abused and problem horses until about 10 yrs ago. then got into akitas, wonderfull breed as long as the breeders dont turn them into big furry couch patatoes.
Started lurking a little over a yr ago when my male was youger and i realized he's no couch patatoe. thanks to all the great posts hear he has so far turned out to be a wonderful partner.
