hee....i keep thinking i want to move to a place w/a usable yard (the one bad thing about this place....i have a yard, but it's full of raspberry bushes and my landlady's cat run) and then get a malinois....so you never know. (and amass more dog experience first!)
i just got back from a short walk w/the dogs, teagan was of course very confident (and there was a small off-leash dog that ran towards us, if i do say so myself, i timed the correction perfectly! yay me! she totally wanted the dog though) and she was her usual self. but i was remembering, while her 'i'd like to eat that' behaviour came out pretty well immediately, her 'that dog better learn some respect' and 'i will give the death stare to that person' behaviour took a week and half, two weeks to come out. the confidence wasn't immediate.
really - i just want to find a good outlet for teagan, something where we can both have fun and she can satisfy her urge to be a snot and kill things luc and me have our running, and i do run w/teagan, but i don't think she likes it as much as luc - of course, while she has lost some weight, she still needs to trim down some, so that may change, but - i want to find her niche, if that makes sense.
we'll see how things go. i can't go next week anyways (my mother's actually using her car! the nerve of some people....), so i'll keep working w/her and see what i think.
