Connie-
I CANNOT stop laughing!!
THANKS for the lighter approach!! I wasn't clear what she meant by that, but yes I do follow the same standards as preparing raw meat for us. And I DO keep a clean yard, even if we are RURAL, and he only goes in OUR yard (which is more than I can say for 1/2 the people I see on walks!!)!! He is a good boy!!
Thanks Steve!
Any input is greatly appreciated! I was unaware of the leg quarter problem, so I will stick with breasts with ribs for now, and move on gradually. I never leave him to eat alone, I always observe from the living room window or the front porch, away from him, but always "with eyes" on him!! I give him his space.

I just feed Kaiser on the front lawn ....
Are there little kids playing there?
It's the same as any cautions about raw poultry drippings .... whether it's meant for the dog or not, people don't handle salmonella or e. coli with anything like the safeguards that are built in with a dog's system.
You don't want kids, you, or anyone to handle raw poultry (or its blood) and then touch their own food or put their hands in/near their own mouths.
Same as the raw chicken you buy to cook for humans ....
No there are no kids around. Kaiser has a 100x100 foot fenced lawn all to himself!! My kids are 19 and 16. There are no other dogs either. I am very careful to handle his food properly, but any extra ideas are always useful!
How/where do you feed your dogs??
Steve-
I do not have any Asian markets nearby, but when I go out of town next time, I will see what I can find. I am very rural ( only about 1,000) people in our little town and 2 1/2 hours from any larger city. So trips out of town are planned events as we can't seem to make it home in under a 12 hour day!!
Anyway, I will look into this further and seee what I can find.
Thanks again!
