FWIW, The use of lots of caps and bold type is almost universally veiwed as internet speak for yelling. So frequent use is generally considered offensive or rude by most regular internet posters.
Thanks for the reminder, Mara. We've pointed this out on another forum as well. The word used by the mod who explained it was "aggressive."
We used to have a poster here who typed all caps with multiple exclamation points .... his posts drew the ire of many folks on this board.

LOL, I have readily admitted to being "extremely dramatic & overly theatrical" in all my modes of address (whether online or in person) but I am not aggressive by nature at all -- However, "perception is everything" in communications, so I am working hard to tone down my passionate excitement here, folks But if you see me back-sliding, please shoot me a PM, thanks much!

WOW, glad to read that Guy was a He, lest anyone think he was me

Yeah, he was unique. Every letter was a cap ... looked like long telegrams.

I'm often guilty of using caps on individual words simply to emphasize a particular word.
I also use "...." marks for the same reason.
I'm old and confused with all the rules that go with these new fangled typewriters.

Richard, I hope you will stick around. Many of the people who have posted in your thread are the cream of the crop here when it comes to experience with multiple dogs: Niomi, Tracy, Connie, Anne, Mara, Kelly (and forgive me, I know there are others, I didn't re-read the entire thread just now). These are people I would want advice from if I was in a situation similar to yours.
When any of us post, there are sometimes responses that get under our skin or certain members we just don't hit it off with. (I'm speaking in very broad and general terms here.) It's part of belonging to any discussion board.
I know I'm late to the party, but I want to say welcome, and both of your dogs are adorable! I sincerely wish you the best of luck in working out a fix to the issues. Gosh, I can't remember since the thread has gotten long already, but has the NILIF philosophy been mentioned yet? Nothing In Life Is Free. It's a great way to let a new pack member know they will not be moving in and running the show.

One or two words is fine to emphasize but more than that is what is generally considered as yelling.

Cheri, that was a really nice post, I hope Richard stays too, it's always nice to see new, like minded people, and Richard, you have got a wealth of experience and knowledge at your disposal, I know I have been extremely glad of it over the last few years

I'm also getting a bit short in hearing in one ear so I think sometimes I need those large letters to hear the po..s.t bet..te..r.
Errrrr...NEVERMIND!
