No worries at all Christina!
The breeder of both my Border Terriers was outstanding with all her puppies.
When each one of mine came home at 12 weeks they were 90% house broken and responded perfectly to "come" with very low lever distractions.
My goal is that puppies are imprinted and good with grooming, handling, crate training and potty training. I also focus on teaching the puppies how to earn things through engagement, and A LOT of imprinting on trusting their handler to get them through some challenging situations. I do imprint all the basics - sit, down, come, heel position and some leash work. And I do some "engagement games" like spin, through (the legs), weave (around legs) etc. LOTS of luring and shaping work!
I am very happy that all of my previous puppy owners (for Poms too!) have called within a week of having their new puppy reporting back few or no accidents in the home and sleeping in their crates quietly at night. One of my Pom owners had only had rescues prior to purchasing her Pom - she was blown away that this 4 month old puppy was sleeping for 8 hours quietly in his crate and asked to go out to potty each and every time! No accidents for him!
On the unfortunate side, I've had puppy buyers purchase other breeds from other breeders and were very disappointed that their puppies did not come with all of the imprinting that mine did. It is sometimes hard to explain that not all breeders put in the same amount of work. It just depends.

Puppy news!
These guys are going to be 14 days old tomorrow. Already they are walking around the box quite well, everyone has had their eyes open since day 8/9 - so they are starting to really be able to see now. When I get in the box they recognize my voice (My son's too!) and they scramble over to see me. On Saturday we had two escapee's, so reinforcements went up on the box last night. I got a video of one of the girls "testing" the sides, to see if she could find a way out. My guess is we will be moving them to a more secure enclosure sooner rather than later HAHA!
They started with a bit of diarrhea on the weekend - my vet and one of my mentors think they are eating WAY too much, and that mom is eating too much and too much tripe (she's being picky, but is always starving). So I've cut moms meals down to about 4 lbs from 6, and cut her tripe. Everything seems to be calming down, but I am still giving them a small bit of probiotic on their tongue and some essential oils for digestion on their tummies. Literally, my puppies are too fat LOL!!
As of yesterday, smallest puppy (Zombie Slayer) is 2 lbs 9 ounces and our biggest puppy (Widow Maker) is 3 lbs 8 ounces - good weights for 12 days old for sure.
Their personalities are starting to show a teeny bit and I've caught them a few times wrestling their own legs, or a sleeping siblings ear or muzzle - it is SUPER cute lol

Exemplary how thoroughly you prepare your puppies, Niomi, so the futur owner has it much easier as lots of good habits are already established.
Yeah, it must be cute to see them growing, recognizing your's and your son's voice, developping their skills - also the naughty ones. Bright those guys with their attempts to escape. and wrestling on siblings body parts.
My favorite is Zombie Slayer. Boooooooooooooob, take him. Such a sweet little family dog. As I don't know his other characteristics, temperament and level of naughtyness he's my sweethart of course just because of his appearance. Is he really browner than the others or does it just seem like that because of the light?
Already curious to hear the continuation from all of the them, mom too.

I think all your preparations are wonderful and the effort you put into the litter is fantastic! If only all breeders realized their responsibilities to the lives they help bring into this world. I'm glad you have been able to address the health issues so quickly and I hope all continue to improve.
That being said....I'm glad you were able to get the pictures. I hope they live up to their names!

Well - the little hellions are now almost 3 weeks and acting like they are ready to take over the world. They are being moved to a much bigger area this week - which means I can go back to sleeping in my bed lol. With them escaping much earlier than I planned for, I had to sleep near to the room so I could put puppies back that escaped their whelping box throughout the night.
They are walking everywhere, wrestling each other, and chasing us around their box HAHA!
They had their first excursion outside yesterday and they absolutely loved it! They thought the grass was amazing and really enjoyed having room to explore.
They also had their first meal - raw beef! It went over very, very well. They were so content afterwards. I usually wait until at least 3 weeks to start them on food, but Ironhide's litters are always ready early. They likely could have started a few days earlier to be honest. They will now get raw beef "soup" twice a day - once everyone is adjusted, we will slowly start adding variety to their diets.
I am starting an album rather than clog up this post with pictures - can someone let me know if it doesn't work?

Seems like that third week is pretty much a real awakening in puppies when their minds really start to get together with their bodies.
The site worked great for me.
Thanks!

So by 3 weeks they were running around, biting pants, playing with tug toys - basically everything my 4 - 4.5 week old puppies are doing.
Their teeth are almost fully in, and the light blue collar girl has a bite so amazing, it actually already hurts!! Freaking amazing! She is definitely my "pick" working/sport puppy thus far - she is the furthest advanced of the puppies.
We had a great weekend full of FOOD, FUN and new FRIENDS - they are eating about 1.5 lbs a day between the 9 of them. They have had beef, horse, beef tripe and goat so far. Next will be duck and lamb.
I am thinking we will start some luring exercises this week, as they seem so eager to do anything lol - so we will start with the "alphabet" exercises. I will get some videos to post.
Here they are at 3.5 weeks!

Naomi, I'm curious about your "pick" female.
Where was she in the birth order in relation to the males?
I have read that a female born between two males is often tougher/more aggressive as in more testosterone then one born before or after another female.

Very interesting Bob, I've never heard that - She was number 6! Came after a Sable girl, and before a sable boy :P
Actually, the only girl who was born between two boys was Red Rhino (Sable female). And she is an easy going, middle of the road kind of girl - right now... still very early I guess.
