Sully was fabulous! Loved it. I haven't seen Captain Phillips yet, but I'm glad you guys reminded me of that one. I loved Road to Perdition and Bridge of Spies, two with darker themes, but amazing stories and performances. And who can forget The Green Mile!
A few pages back, Bob mentioned something about liking metal and hair bands. I think this qualifies. Who would have thought, back in the 1970s, that this guy would still be touring (age 68 when this was recorded last year)???!!! Make sure to catch the last few seconds for one of his trademarks.

Captain Phillips is much longer, but it's extremely well done, and the final scene is (to me) maybe his best to date. It's amazing.
Sully was fabulous, I totally agree!
Speaking of Sully, here's Tom Hanks hilariously impersonating Clint Eastwood directing Sully. I have probably watched this clip ten times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBevKOiYDFc
But there are tricks an old dog like I will never learn, although I'd love to.
E.g. watching that highly funny clip, it leaves me somehow desperate. Never will learn to distinguish, whether Hanks , that marvellous actor , is acting or being himself.

By the way, I faintly remember a film, which made Tom Hanks famous. Something about a boy who became over night an adult and had all troubles to get along with that big jump into a world he wasn't prepared for. How was it? I guess to have liked it but am not sure any more. Does anyone remember the name of it?
