Oi. Are there are some angry people out there.
Sorry, but no. Not even remotely angry. None of my responses are motivated by anger, as I'm not angry. Annoyed, yes. Fearful for the safety of children and sanity of a dog? Yes.
As most of us have experienced in our lives, anger defeats any purpose for improvement or change.
Actually, my experience has been that properly focused anger keeps you from getting dead... but that's really irrelevant here, since I'm not angry.
As she has said, it is a dream of hers to get into the sport of SchH
Her dream, will turn into a nightmare. This dog already has a piss-poor foundation, and won't make a decent sport dog. Until she learns an awful lot, I stand by my statement- she has NO business even thinking about a sport dog.
Who are we to judge - her or anybody, for that matter?
For starters, a concerned citizen. If that doesn't do it for you, how about a LEO?

I wasn't targeting at specific people. Just in general, the whole thread has such a ugly, negative vibe.
So I am just steering those away from the negative energy and focusing on being constructive.

I'm really not trying to be negative, per se. I just feel that Bounette needs to realize she is way over her head.
She needs to step back from dog ownership, and focus on dog education for awhile.

Oi. Are there are some angry people out there. O_o
Sometimes the most regressive thing to do is to go on the offensive. As most of us have experienced in our lives, anger defeats any purpose for improvement or change.
Chill, people. Your anger clouds your eyes and judgment.
As she has said, it is a dream of hers to get into the sport of SchH only when she can afford both the time and finances. But it does not mean she is definitely getting into it.
Who knows? She might be ready in a few years. Who are we to judge - her or anybody, for that matter?
Right?
i'll tell you, you're number one in my book. true spoken words of wisdom once again.

I think that she need to take the dog back and get a kitten.
Or something that she does not have to train.
wait you train kittens rabbit almost every pet get a stufffed animal.
I am in no way angry.
I am worried about her kids and her dog.
I think she needs to stop being on the defence and relize that no one is being mean or hateful or rude.
Everyone is saying your in over your head take the dog back.
Everyone is again worried about her child.
Do you know how many times I have been told I am doing something wrong someone said it rude I thought then I PMed them and they explained diferntly so I understude it better.
I am 19 married no kids 2 dogs and a cat. I recue a lot off the streets and find homes quickly.
But If I had not listened then My dogs would run my life.
They are pretty well behaved you know I did not follow all the rules with my chi now I am having problems go figure.
If you really do what everyone has said then your doing what you can for now. No one is being rude there telling you straight which people in this world no longer like but I respect almost everyperson on here. Most are a lot older and wiser I would never come off stupid to anyone like you did and are.
Learn please dont let this dog or your chrildren suffer because you dont know what hapens when your trying to be smart your daughter is serverly hurt.
Please step back and reread.
Take the warning now befor you have a lawsuit on your hands or worse a dead child

any good advice will be well taken and utilized
So you are going to crate the dog when he eats and leave him alone? Excellent. Problem solved.
your sarcastic remarks leave to think only that you did not receive enough attention as a child and you need some now...
so please will everybody stand while they read this and say:
"aaaaaawwwwee Mikey, are you o.k."
o.k. now that that is done will you please se if you culd either pay attention or excuse yourself from the table, grown folks are talking.

Aww, I wouldn't go as far as to say there weren't mean things being said on the board.
Objectively and honestly, this thread does have a lot of angst in it, whether the posters want to accept that truth or not.
So .. ... ..
With that said, just because I am not reacting with intense emotions, it certainly is not a gauge - by any means - that I am any less concerned than the others for both dog(s) and child.
Just my wee little two cents, which probably don't mean much with such high inflation rates.

I hate to see threads like this on the forum. That's why I wrote my previous post. I hope the mods realize this thread is becoming less about training and close this thread. Take the advice you want and leave the rest. No need to argue about it.

I don't hold much unto horoscopes.
A concerned citizen is different from being a judgmental person. Don't take my reply to such heart. Like, I said, it's just my opinion ... no need to nit-pick.
Hehehehe
Please let's get back on topic for now. For the sake of the dog and child involved.

Rei, LEO stands for Law Enforcement Officer.
Also, if you think this thread has touched on mean you are incorrect. There is a lot more that could be said but people ARE being diplomatic in their choice of words and phrases.
I have been more of an observer on this thread as what I would say Mike and Alyssa and others have already stated. No one is being "mean" IMO.
What was that saying... hmm.. Oh! That's right.
"The truth hurts."
I understand your viewpoint of people perhaps using more diplomacy in their posts but personally, FROM EXPERIENCE, I find that in cases like these diplomacy results in nothing being done about the problem because the severity of the issues are not conveyed. I work with people and their aggressive dogs all the time. I have seen what happens when someone does not take advice and then comes to me for help. Why did they not follow the advice? "Because it didn't seem like it was that big of a problem, I thought it was no big deal." It IS a big deal.
It's either going to be some less than sweet words or an injured child to snap someone out of a daydream regarding their dog. Which would you prefer it be?
