Katie has gotten a crash course on working dogs can live in the house with careful management and a few unexpected surprises.
Russ got back from the airport with her at about midnight, I was in the back of the house and didn't hear them pull up but the dogs did let me know someone was here.
By the time I got to the door Russ was getting ready to go around to the gate, the screen door was locked. Katie kind of gave me a funny look when I said I said we double lock the doors so that the dogs don't open them.
About an hour later she was taking a shower and all of a sudden she hears the door knob move and it's jingling. Remember this is an attractive young lady in some strangers house out in the middle of nowhere........
She had time to grab a towel and is frantically looking around for a weapon when the door slams open and Danni comes bounding in.
Danni always wants to know what is behind door number 2.....
It's so awesome when you see new owners with their new dogs and you just KNOW they were meant to be together I got to see this a few times when I worked at Leerburg... Sarah and Dutch, Debbie and Dante... to name just a couple.
Katie, I am so glad you are head over heels... Have fun!!! Your life will never be the same!
And, Betty, Congrats on breeding such a wonderful dog and for finding her the perfect owner!!!

Lol!!! A weapon! I was so confused. She just looked at me like, "Hey! Whatcha doin'!"
Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I can't wait to get out of class and get home to her. And it's my last week of school so we can start spending more time together after this

Perfect news! Congrats to all 3 of you! Betty found a GOOD owner, Danni got someone who loves her, and Katie- it sounds like you got one heck of a dog!!!
The first part is the hardest part.
I couldn't be happier.
It was a toss up on who had the biggest grin on their face, Katie or Danni!

Thanks everyone. Pictures coming soon! This morning I discovered that she really loves her Orbee ball much more than her Kong, and that she loves hair clips even more than her Orbee ball.
