Ah, and was this the movie with the big piano people could play with their feet?

It's not even 7:00 a.m. here, but it's definitely jiggly music! Haven't heard that in ages!

I know, that surprised me, too! I was looking up the version that was playing in my head, the one that was the most popular on the radio back in the day, and I was drawing a blank on the artist, so I then discovered all the other people who had done it. I almost posted the Doors version here, but at seven minutes, I figured it might test people's attention spans. I'm going to have to look up a few of those others when I can.

For me, it's Van Morrison's voice singing it in my head, but I certainly recognized the sound of Shadows of Knight when I clicked your link.
Want to see a really amazing list? Wikipedia lists about a zillion covers! (Type this at Google : wikipedia, gloria, them song. Then scroll down to Cover Versions.) *
Then under Acclaim, this cracked me up : Humourist Dave Barry joked that "You can throw a guitar off a cliff, and as it bounces off rocks on the way down, it will, all by itself, play Gloria."
* I had a lot of trouble trying to get the URL to work right, so I ended up with this start-with-Google thing!
