HA! Knew there was a catch.
(BTW, the Dutch are known as the Chinese of the west when it comes to "Trade"...)

Ok, enough about breeding and Dutch swindlers. Lets get back to the intros, that was kinda interesting.

OK My turn I guess.
Location: The mountains of scenic northwestern NJ.
Age:31
Occupation: Non-disgruntled Postal Supervisor
Current Dogs: Labrador Retriever, Golden Retriever
(I know....not very macho!)
Hunt with one, competition obedience with the other.
Past dogs owned: 3 Shepherds
Why don't I have a Shepherd now?: Can't convince wife that they are safe. WOMEN
Legendary rock star(in my own mind...really more like the wedding singer!)
Major weakness: Lack of patience, impulsiveness.
Stregnth: Knowing when to shut up and let people who know their shit talk the talk, and good people skills(diplomacy). Ability to calm tensions of others!(No one thought I was a moderator cause I knew anything about dogs did they!LOL
Enough???
PS....Oh yeah, I forgot to throw in the mixed breed dogs I've had....they count....right?

I forgot to add that I am active in Golden Retriever rescue.
I also help little old ladies cross the street once in a while, I am an avid PETA hater, not quite as grumpy as VanCamp although I have my moments, and most of all I dig this kick ass web board.
I don't know if anyone mentioned this but the board turned 1 year old last week. I'd like to take the time to thank the senior members like Richard, Vince, Karmen, Pete, Renee, Cindy, Kevin, Josh, VanCamp, Schnauzerbabe, L.Swanston, Lonny B....ahh hell I'll be here all day! If I didn't name you....sorry. Thanks to everyone for contributing to the best damn dog training web board on the planet. I'm sure I speak for all....(ok maybe most!LOL ) when I say thanks Mr. Frawley!

It's about time we all fessed up!
First; I want to thank each and everyone of you for such a diverse set of minds. This board has a wealth of knowledge to be shared.
Being a transplanted Hoosier; approaching the age of 48 in December; I've recently hit the 30 year mark of employment within the same dental office and plan my retirement in 7 more years from the profession.
During my younger years I rode horses for some professional trainers and moonlighted on the side starting young ones to saddle. Unfortunately; horses killed my body during those invinceable years and I pay the price for it today.
I've been involved with dog/cat/horse rescue for the majority of my life and actively participate with our local humane society by fostering and maintaining their web site.
Homelife is shared with a variety of dogs. My most recent addtion in January 02 was a Leerburg GSD female who is the joy of my life. She graduated her obedience class with the highest marks and I'm proud as hell of her!

Name:
---just Dogma. (Nope. Not gonna put my name on a forum. Wouldn't be prudent...)
Age:
---mmm.... Ok, today I celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary. Well, allright. If I put my two marriages together they would total almost 40 years. Does that help? I'm not going any further. Except that if VanCamp is 26 (oh my, I hope not. Can you imagine him a senior if he's like this now? ) I've got kids older than he is!
Location:
---American Southwest. I got here as fast as I could. Naturalized as American in 1957.
Occupation:
---no mo'e! Retired after 32 yrs from a male-dominated, good-ole-boy industry. Up until 1980, was the only female in a 23k employee division in my particular position. (Boy was that fun...NOT!)
Probably why I "don't know my place" too well
Dogs: 2 1/2 animals
---One Ambred/GerImport gsd.
What was that breeder thinking?...oh yeah...$$$$. Naive purchase on our part as we hadn't been "into" gsd's for 25 yrs. Lots changed in the breed during that time. Not for the better, imnsho. Lucked out though; we have a dog with a German mind in an Ambred body. Makes for interesting first reactions from helpers.
---One WG/DDR/Czech gsd bitch; did my research this time around.
---One 11 lb mix. (Originally daughter's dog, but now a permanent resident with us.) A terminally cute, dominant, 10 yr old fear-biter. Enuff said.
Experience:
---25 yrs ago - AKC jerk-'em-around, Kohler/Pearsall-type OB training...gsd to CDX title. Had to stop due to HD problems (the dog's, not mine). Too bad, she had what is now described as "good drives". Even showed her in conformation twice. And that was enough.
---More recent - 2 yrs in a Schutzhund club. Currently our 21 mon old dog has been trained to a BH; the bitch is just 12 months old but well along on ob & protection. (She's awesome!)
