The only scanned photos I have of Tig are the ones in my sig. Have asked the kid to take more soon. I love the way sable coat changes. She was a black dog with tan feet and a little shading around the eyes all summer. Now the red undercoat is back.
I've been training dogs to do various things for 40+ years now. My Grandmother imported GSD's from Germany in the 50's, and my "job" was to teach them english. I fell in love with those smart, witty dogs. In fact, as an adult, I was convinced they couldn't have been everything I remembered...
So followed various bird dogs, sled dogs and then my 25 year affair with sighthounds.
And now, finally, I have Tig. Who really is everything I remembered and then some. God to have had this dog when I was 20 and physically worthy of her! There's literally nothing she can't do and she's honest and competetive as all get out.

Id like to get Hercules trained in Protection/obediance and some light tracking. I just want him to be happy and learning how to train the dog is one of those means.
Thanks for the self training DVDs Ed. They dont make us pro trainers, but they give us an idea, of how to make it fun for thes etyped of dogs- and also saving a ton on training- so far protection training offered by local trainers here I priced has been $1500 and $2800- forget that!
