I knew we could get a few more miles out of this thread.
This reminds me when MSN said that Basenjis the Africa Hunting dog was at the bottom on the list of intelligence for dogs. I thought that sounded like BS so I went to the Basenji forum and introduced myself and Erika and asked what they were doing with their dogs. The LAST thing on my mind was to run down their sport or their dogs. Come to find out a number of them are used for small game and can be trained in basic Obed and a little more like any other dog. Point is you don't come to our club talking smack unless you can back it up

Pete,
Sorry I didn't mean to put you off with one of my past posts.
I mean well, even if it sometimes doesn't come out like that.

Very, very true Randy and a valid good point. However, since YOU managed to figure out how to post not one, but TWO pictures, side by side, I would assume almost anyone could do it!!
With enough time, dedication and commitment, that is.

I don't bother anymore..I'll call the 13 yr old first off.....why waste time????
And I really am interested in the boar dog...and I wanted to see pix......
I saw a show called "the pig bomb" on tv.
It was all about the explosion of pigs and the damages they cause.
John my husband hunts..well...so do I and the kids too...but any way, he boar hunts a lot.
I want to see the pup!!!!!
A Catahoula cross should be really good looking.

"...Surely you have an online photo album..."
actually i don't, in fact i don't even have a paper version photo album, does that make me a bad person? since you asked i will make it a goal to put a pic up ... sometime.
what i have seen basinji's are awesome, lots of casualties though chasing prey across roads & straight into moving vehicles, will not go off a trail even right to their own death. and they climb fences, never owned one but thats what i've heard. last dog i would get for a house pet - that would be cruelty. would love to have one if i wasn't already (or about to be) maxed. love those ancient psychology breeds (i don't know what that means exactly but know it when i see it).
no prob randy, made me think.
