You won't know if the dog is PPD material for another several months yet, and frankly, I wouldn't consider a home with two toddlers a good place for a PPD.

PPDs aren't family dogs.
What is your criteria for a PPD? I know some dogs are trained to the point everyone is a suspect until proven otherwise while others are trained to ignore people in general until they do something stupid.
well lets not go into the realm of PPD yet. Those are just what I'd like done. For now he's a puppy and will be socialized and treated like a puppy.
Wife said outright we are getting the dog after reading all these posts. She said we did choose to buy it. She understands everyone. She's also the one who typed up the full contract as I was busy. I'd like to get her involved on here but she's not much of a forum person

point taken, most people want a dog that will "protect" the family and in between just play fetch and lay infront of the TV. I think I got fairly close to that and she is generaly good with children, I think she would react VERY poorly if a child fell on her or yanked on her ears. So I put her on lead or contain her when unpredictable kids are over. But something like a Police K9 or Prison K9 would not be in my house. All the K9s I've seen if not on lead they are kenneled.
