Hi All, i was wondering what everyone does for training areas when conditions make it bad for training. We had a small storm that was 3"inches of wet snow, 1"inch of rain, then another 1"inch of snow, then it warmed up enough to melt everything together and then refroze. The ground everywhere is like a skating rink, the only thing i can do is take them for walks( on the street ), aaggghhh, AL
Oh oh I know what Will would say! "Move South" LOL.
Can't you train inside? On second thoughts... bitework on a skating rink could be very interesting <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
I think that unless you have somewhere to train theres no magical way to be able to train, just work wherever you can would be my inexperienced suggestion.
We train all year round. Rain, shine, snow, it doesn't matter. Winter here brings sub-zero temps and 500" of snow (not a typo, by the way). Summer can bring temps over 100F. Just be smart about it, read your dog and be safe, especially in the heat.
In the rain/snow, the dog will usually outlast you, most of the time.
