Can't lie haven't seen a whole lot, just a few so I'm certainly not throwing the breed to the wolves but The few all from different lines and breedings that I did see all had horrible nerves.
I have a beauceron and have trained her for B.H. She is spirited at home, but on the field with a judge, and a novice handler...she goes flat...A better or different handler would have a B.H. on my dog.
She is a truly wonderful family and sport dog. We just finished a run up the Labrador coast for my work. We negotiated a Labrador town full of stray dogs, went for a barren country ski, and impressed a hotellier with her obedience on this trip.
Use the search to find previous discussions on Beaucerons.
I recently did a search of Ring III Beaucerons and discovered only 10 in the "About Beaucerons" database born between 1990-2006.
From my observations, it is now very difficult to get a concentrated working breeding without significant inbreeding on the Loustic/Roi/Ce line.
The alternatives seem to be outcrosses to show lines with predictably less consistent results.
My girl is a mish mash of herding, show, working lines.
