mrpumba Webboard User Reg: 08-11-2001 Posts: 7 Loc: Spring Hill Florida Offline	I have a 14 month GSD that came from German blood lines. I noticed when she walks, her rear legs "cowhock" inward almost like her knees are touching. I was told by the breeder that all her pups have this and eventually grow out of this. Has anyone had to deal with this and is it something to be concerned about. The breeder has a good reputation and the family line has "good" hips and titled schIII.

Dave Lilley Webboard User Reg: 08-10-2001 Posts: 380 Loc: Offline	In my experience this has nothing to do with hip quality. However, it will NOT go away. The Wienerau lines were notorious for this problem.

Dave Lilley Webboard User Reg: 08-10-2001 Posts: 380 Loc: Offline	Usually the problem is primarily cosmetic... most apparent when standing or walking slowly. As long as the gait is fairly decent when trotting... you should have no problems working at all.
