Hi, first off I have spent the last 4 days going through old threads on Building Drive Focus and Grip, it is really cool what you pick up watching Ed's videos over and over but nothing compared to how much you can draw from them after doing background research in this forum, wow!
Anyhow, in one of the threads it was mentioned that Bernhard instructs not to use a second toy to get the original back from a dog that will not drop it. However, in the video, in the subchapter "Focus Work" Bernhard is making drive in Itor with a piece of hose and then brings him onto a small tug. Itor was carrying the hose and Bernhard exposed the tug and made it come alive, then Itor put the down the hose and went for the tug.
I am curious as to why this is?
Any info out there is appreciated.
If you notice in the video, before he starts making drive with the hose, he make the comment "I don't know if he will go for this." Not something he normally does but it was a demo.
