....is that the solid plastic one, that has points on it?
Yes they are, and at the moment I'm getting good results with them on my 2 terriers. I'm in an anti-prong society so have resorted to them. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I quite agree Mike. When I see these hyperactive pit bulls suffocating themselves trying to lift the pavement with their nails that were trained by these happy pappy petsmart trainers... These dogs are heading down the road of collapsing trachea FAST.. All to spare a few moments of instinct satisfying pressure (prong correction).
Ah...I know that feeling. Aussie used to do that with the choke chain--I used it for...mmm...mabe 3 days *lol* Then I got the Gentle Leader, which stopped pulling, but depressed him. After about a year (almost 18 mths after I got him) I finally said to heck with this and got the prong, which we'd used on our Husky with great results.
I was telling this story on my ACD list and I told'em that 2 well timed pops solved the majority of our problems up 'till then--pulling, lunging after cars, and barking his fool head off when he saw other critters. They were amazed that two pops with this collar was able to stop all that cold, because Mom finally found a way to communicate that She. Was. Not. Playing. *sigh* ^_^ (I was a bit frustrated with him, if you couldn't tell.) *lol*
