Keep working your dogs!!!!
I can't remember where I read it but a domestic dog was about 850 psi and Canis Lupus was about 1400 psi. But it was previously mentioned that there isn't really a standard way to measure bite force and I don't think any studies have been done well enough to settle any beer bets
This has come up from time to time and there are no real figures to go buy, but the main influence on the dog's physical ability to bite hard is the size. In the studies that I've seen, Rotts are near the top, then GSDs, APBTs, Dobermann are all about the same. The difference between the bites are not really that much. I don't remember the exact numbers, but they all are in the 700-900 psi range.
What it doesn't measure is desire and drive to bite hard.
It's a stupid arguement. It doesn't make much difference to the person being bit. If a 70lbs GSD gets you at 750psi, or a 75lbs APBT gets you at 800psi, or a 110lbs Rotty gets you at 950psi. . . you're still screwed. LOL
