I'm gonna have a fence up within the next week, n I have a screened in pool area that he's always able to roam around in if he wants, but if I leave him out here alone he just runs around from window to window to try and find me.
Is there any daily ritual other than sticking him outside alone for a while every day to help him realize that outside is good and I don't have to be with him all the time? I wanna be able to open up the door n send him to go pee out in the yard, but he doesn't like to make a move without me. Maybe it'll be different when he realizes he can get to the grass on his own, we'll see.
It's funny, when I'm with him he doesn't care what I'm doing, but when I leave him, he's totally like "whered he go! wheres my daddy! damnit get back here, I cant ignore you if you're not here to ignore!".
When my parents are around I'll leave him out of his crate and run an errand, then I'll get back n they'll tell me that he's been pacing around the house looking for me the whole time I've been gone, n he'll lay down by the front door waiting for me, but if I crate him, then leave, then they come in and uncrate him, he's totally different. He loves my parents, which is good, because they can watch him when I have to leave town Unfortunately they won't be in town to watch him when I go to holland in March so I'll have to resort to *gulp*... the vet's kennel
