Gail Nichols Webboard User Reg: 01-01-2006 Posts: 89 Loc: Midwest Offline	i was wondering if anyone here might have heard about an old movie GSD-possibly 1950s vintage-named Colonel or Major Wolf? back in the '70s i had a granddaughter of his,who was one of the best dogs i've ever had....she may not have had perfect conformation,but she was built well enough to do anything i asked of her. i would be really interested in finding out more about this dog-his background,breeding,what movies he was in,and so on.i've googled this with any keywords i can think of,but haven't come up with anything...i keep running into people who remember him,but no more than that... I ran across this web site tonight looking for something else, and remembered this post. There are a few movies in the 30s and 40s here starring GSDs named Silver Wolf and Wolf. Didn't see Colonel or Major Wolf, but I didn't go through the whole site or the links. http://members.tripod.com/westminsterkc/video.htm bills itself as "The most complete listing of movies with dogs as stars or as extras on the web."
