I have been going over a years worth of threads on the raw diet for a few hours now. I'm sure my question has been asked already but it could take me weeks to find it with all of the info on the forum.
I baught the book Natural Nutrition for Dogs and Cats from Leerburg. Very informative, brief and easy to understand. But what is next? I plan to make the switch, and I understand that it will be a learning process for me as it is new, but is there a more in depth book that could be considered "book number two"? I plan on scouring the past threads on this subject over the next couple of weeks for more knowledge but how about a quick fix for me, in the mean time
As always, thanx in advance!

This is just one of MANY ways to go:
The third Billinghurst is kind of "nutshell," and maybe what you are asking for. It's really good. The first one is largely the argument for b.a.r.f., which it sounds like you don't need, and I haven't read the 2nd one (but have heard good things). The third one, The Barf Diet, might be what you want.
Leerburg sells all three of his books, btw.
Then, if you go to http://www.njboxers.com/faqs.htm
you'll find that they have listed the 50 most-asked questions for people starting out with feeding raw. I personally have found their answers to be right on -- JMO. There are many sites with info that's just as good, but I like their Q and A setup, with meal samples and very basic answers.
Congratulations on deciding to make the switch! You will never be sorry. And, we are all here to help you.
One of my favorite sites is rawdogranch.com. Good info, sample meals, a precise formula for feeding by weight, etc.
As Connie said, there are many ways to go. Thankfully, you are interested, and hopefully, will find the right one for you and your soon-to-be VERY happy pooch.
