BOISE, Idaho -- A Garden City, Idaho, police officer shot and killed a dog he was training after the dog attacked him and a Boise police officer.
Garden City Police Chief Jim Bensley said the dog had to be shot to stop his aggression.
The dog was owned by the Garden City officer who shot him. The officer owns a business that trains dogs for public safety entities.
The dog was a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois.
The Idaho State and Garden City police are investigating the incident.
Peter - There are always two sides to a storey. We don't know the history of this dog, and we don't know the severity of the handler attack. There is a very good possibility that this shooting was justified.
I am personally aware of several similar incidents that were 100% justified.
This thread is closed - I wont allow speculation on something like this.
