Let's see I am a single mom, have worked with animals my whole life. I own 9 horses-classical dressage and hunter..evented for a long while.I start young horses,breed carefully,and most importantly train young horsemen and women. I was introduced to SchH 14 years ago,when I lived next door to a breeder of Rotts who trained and titled several SchH dogs.She was a professional dog trainer. I currently have a middle aged Standard Poodle. She is obedience trained,a 13 year old greyhound-rehomed due to marriage a year and a 1/2 ago, a 3 coming four greyhound,and a sight impaired( and pack challenged ) greyhound. I turn out with basket muzzles to prevent problems, the greys come accustomed to it. I crate, I was told that greys could not be trained in obedience(but they come crate trained,and really nice on a leash,travel well etc)the twoyoung dogs both sit,down,stay,and fetch. I just recently purchased a black female Shepherd from good lines and most importantly with a breeder whom I feel confident will continue to offer support and guidance in the years to come. I will pick her up in the next couple of weeks. I did a search to find this place as I have several really old video's of Mr.Frawley's on training police service dogs. The trainer them for me to watch and then her husband nearly died and wasput on the transplant list and she sold off her dogs to care for her children and husband,so I was allowed to keep the video's.Dogs live in the house,but I use crates spaces that are allowed and disallowed.I look forward to learning here.
