now here is my question, i think every 3 years sounds fair to me. but my vets in the past have always said that if my pet misses or is even late getting his/her distemper shot, than they give a distemper "booster" than in a month i have to bring them back for the "2nd booster" is this too B.S.? and if not than we have to pay and put our pets through the 2 shots per 3 years. any feed back on this,

There is no need for yearly vaccinations of any kind - the Vet who told the last person that posted about distemper is only interested in money and not the health of the dog.
If you feed a healthy diet (no commerical food) the only shots a dog needs after two puppy shots is a 3 year rabies and in my opinion this not needed except that its the law I am closing this thread - there is plenty to read on vaccinations on the old posts from this board and on my web site
