.....And the rules of Dermatology that I posted early in the thread work for yet another patient! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
......and I plan to save this thread! Been through the weeks and dollars and "I dunno" before, only to end up with easily-treated fungus infections just confounded by concurrent allergy symptoms. This thread has been GREAT.
Would pics of him after 2 days be helpful to anyone? His nipples are nearly gone now, his hind quarters are totally clear, and the spot looks dry and weird (but I think healing up).

Henry, I would be interested in seeing the improvements. Was he scratching and biting the affected areas a lot? If so, has it lessened or stopped now?
I would too. Those first pictures were disheartening.
I have done a bunch of extra research since your post about the no-diagnosis problem, and I'm starting to understand why fungus isn't often identified quickly: It's so low on the probability list for canine skin itchies/sores that the far more common causes are ruled out first (just as an earlier post from Will said, about the narrowing-down process).

I'm hoping you'll let us know how this has gone.......and whether the problem is continuing to improve.
