Has anyone heard about a new Schutzhund title called Rettungshund? It's supposed to be an entry level title for SAR dogs. RH1, RH2, RH3.
It will include tracking, obstical course, dogs willingness to be carried by their handler and a stranger, a stand and a recall. I can't find any info on the Schutzhund USA site. They are supposed to be the ones offering it.
SV Judge Walter Hoffman was the one who did a lot of development on this title. There was a description in the June or July 2005 issue of the SV magazine.
I believe the Cincinnati club did the exercises at their trial last fall.
OK, now they're just doing this for the money. I guess they have read my posts and realize that they are on the way out. Need to make the $$ from the goofies looking for freebie titles. Sad.

Jeff, I "clicked" on both spots, but got no english. Would you plesae do the honors & translate (this should be good ?
So one day, when beautifull Deiter was laying by ze pool, he had a wonderful idea to take more money from the foolish. Not you of course. These people with the uselessness in the dog always looking for the silly titles could pay I mean obtain this title along with the showhund, I mean Schutzhund. Deiter says they could run about in the woods and play on the kinder...childrens toys. Then they send the money. No expectations and of course we will lower the difficulty after we get a good following of the uselessness.
Actually Bob, from what I understand about the Rettungshund (Rescue Dog) title is that is has been around for a number of years (abbreviated as RtH). It has been called a "Rescue Dog Suitability Test" meaning that it is NOT a SAR certification, per se, but rather more like a BH for (potential) SAR dogs to see if they have an apptitude for SAR work. If the could earn a RtH title, they might be able to move forward with actual SAR training and certification (the old rules are posted on the DVG website).
I have heard bits and pieces about the "new" Rettungshund titles (RH1, RH2, RH3??) being offered by USA. I don't know if it will be any different than the "old" title, but I'd be ineterested in taking a look at it.
Thanks Scott! The DVG site has a pretty good explination. Looks like a pretty easy title for an old man and his dog.
