I am a new user but have read many posts and enjoy. I have a 2 1/2 year old GSD female. I got her around six months ago from a breeder and we our her only other family. She is the most wonderful dog ... and was wondering by this long vocal sigh that she is just as happy. I don't think it is she is bored, usually we walk 2 to 3 miles daily. She usually does this sigh as she is laying at my feet and about to drift off. Just wondered if I am reading this right...Want her to be as happy, and I believe that she is from everything else. Sorry not much more here, she is great!!!! Judy
it sounds like the heavy sighs my dogs do when they're tired and ready to drift off to la-la land-sometimes a kind of groaning sigh, but, complete contentment...
i do this too sometimes <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
Both of our GSDs are very verbal. They grunt, groan, moan and bark,Alot!I think they are just adding to the conversation <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
