I absolutely LOVE a good working female. They work their butts off to please you I believe more than males. I believe there are lines out there in the Mal world that throw consistantly great females**PLUG-FONTAINE D'OR**. You have to search them out, and the biggest problem I see is people not giving them a chance because they're viewed by the vast majority as nothing more than breeding tubes. I have a Female Mal that I have begun competing with in ASR and I am VERY happy with her. She has become my new standard, and any male or female I ever get from this day forward has to meet or rise above her level for me to keep. I competed her almost 2 weeks ago starting off her ASR career by competing her for her entry and out of 8 she took 1st place. I lost all of our points do to dumb handler errors, Like not being prepared with proper equipment on the field and not waiting on judges signal (which I need to start doing in training)she worked perfect, and was by far the youngest dog on the field. Thats not to toot my own horn, she just has IMO everything there for me to work with, my success I feel is more of a great genetics and breeding issue. I have been an advocate for giving a female a working chance. To me they give you something in a relationship that you just can't get from a male, IMO. I LOVE'EM
