I have had a thread on my web board about Van Den Havel kennels in Montana. The owner is John James.
There had been an extensive thread on this web board about Mr. James kennel. Robert Van Camp (a moderator) had made a post that he has seen 13 dogs from this kennel and none were deemed worthy of being called working dogs.
Two days ago Mr James called my office and threatened legal action for this thread. He claimed to be a CHRISTIAN MAN and a father of 5 and threatened to sue me if this thread was not removed.
I just found out that the thread was accidentally deleted without my approval. There was nothing on the thread that warranted it being removed.
Mr James is welcome to come on my web board and comment on the quality of his dogs. I also invite everyone who has direct knowledge of Mr James kennel (VAN DEN HAVEL K9 ) to post their personal experiences with Mr James and his kennel.
I regret that the previous thread was accidentally removed. I did not do it nor would I have done it. Mr James home phone number is 406-431-0447 - if you wish to discuss his breeding program feel free to do so. If you wish to discuss the 13 dogs that Robert Van Camp commented on - feel free to do so.
I am not one to lightly accept threats as Mr James has chosen to offer. Rather I would let my dogs speak for themselves. No one, including myself, produces perfect dogs 100% of the time.
If I chose to contact ever person or web site who thought I was an ass hole breeder I could keep busy doing so.
I suggest Mr James pull his head out of the dark side and focus on his breeding program and not what others have to say about him and his kennel.
I assure him that this thread will not be accidentally erased.
What is he going to sue you for? For what, somebody making an honest opinion about his dogs? I wouldn't put up with his threats either Mr. Frawley, this is your web board, tell him to go blow smoke up someone else's #&*!
I will take this opportunity to speak up on behalf of John and Dari. I have known them for about two years and they imported my breeding female for me. I have found both of them to be very professional and ethical in their business. Dari is very knowledgable and tries very hard to put the right dog\pup with the client.
I have been to their home and kennel and seen their set up.
As far as the comments that have been made about a number of dogs that hve been tested and deemed not worthy by a member of the board; I would encourage that member to name the dogs or provide more information other than just testing 13 dogs. I feel that is a little vague and to make such a comment and just leave it open ended like that seems a little unfair. I have no problem with Mr. Frawley's statement to let the dog's stand for them selves.. I believe that is fair.
And perhaps Michele Deadwyler could ponder the quote in her signature? Just a thought, my two bits nothing more.
respectfully
I have done business with Van Den hueval K-9 before. I have bought two dogs from their kennels. One a Male from Faro Policia Litter and a female from the Congo litter. So far both of them are doing great in bite work and tracking. I had an offer from a friend of mine who trains dog for various police organizations to buy them. They both are high drive and great temperament with solid nerves.
I cant vouch for all dogs out of their kennels, all I can say is the two I have bought in the past were great and everything I was looking for at the time. Like Ed said not every litter produces extreme drives that some of us are wanting. Their service was also great.
