K-9 Nation invites you to the first Bernhard Flinks seminar ever to be held in New York State. It will be held from Thursday May 11th through Sunday May 14th at the new Schutzhund training center in Hannibal, New York, just 20 miles from Syracuse Airport. For further information, you can contact Francesco by email at K9Nation1@aol.com or at (315) 564-5459. We look forward to hearing from you!
Here is a post from a person interested in this seminar, I have concerns with people who only list their first names. Maybe this is nothing, maybe its not.
You read in it what you want.
I had already sent a PM and got not response. If I get nothing by monday I will block this person from the board.
Dear Mr. Frawley:
Perhaps you can help me. Apparently, there is to be a Bernhard Flinks seminar near Syracuse, New York on May 11-14? I have contacted the e-mail address (K9natiuon1@aol.com) but have only been given a price list and the first name and telephone number of the contact person. I have called the number but there is opnly an automated recording. I am somewhat suspicious as I have no contact address, no name of the club offering the seminar, no driving directions, and wonder if this is all a scam?
Does Mr. Flinks have a seminar schedule on a website?
I am new to schutzhund and Gillian Salling, the breeder of my GSD tells me that Mr. Flinks' training methods are excellent. If this seminar is really going to take place, I want very much to attend.
You know they need to start to act like Professionals - and not people who don’t put there last name on their answering machines and then don’t answer emails and PRIVATE MESSAGES.
I don’t have time for this. I have nothing to do with scheduling Bernhard or his seminars and I don’t have patience for poor management.
Dear Mr. Frawley,
My name is Francesco Carotenuto and I am the director/trainer of K-9 Nation, the new Schutzhund center in Hannibal, New York. We just moved up here in September and we are holding the first ever Bernhard Flinks seminar in New York. When I posted this on your website I signed my post a "Francesco" because I thought having my full name next to the post was sufficient. Apparently, it was not and I apologize for that.
I believe that I have answered every email sent to me at K9Nation1@aol.com and every phonecall made to me at 315-564-5459. If someone out there has had difficulty reaching me, please email or phone again as I am anxious to hear from you and would love to answer any questions about this upcoming seminar, to be held from May 11 through May 14th, 2006.
Again, my apologies for any misunderstandings.
Sincerely,
Francesco Carotenuto
I've spoken with Francesco three times via phone and he had a valid reason for every question that I asked him ( he had just moved to the area, he didn't have a website set up, he didn't have any information regarding "tufnuf" kennel's bad reputation ) so I actually feel that this was just a case of some of us getting a bit too nervous about that advertisement on the "tufnuf" website.
The "no club" thing that someone mentioned is no biggie in my book, there are plenty of training kennels that are not affiliated with any training club. Betty Waldron and I just held a seminar with Alex Beyer and we didn't post a club affiliation since we held it ourselves.
I always try to correct mistakes that I make on the forum ( if I'm proven wrong, I"ll post about it ) and in this case I beleive I was wrong about any connection between k9 Nation and "tufnuf" kennels.
So........I'm gonna give a vote of confidence here in the most sincere way that I can - I'm *going* to that seminar. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
K-9 Nation would like to thank everyone who attended the Bernhard Flinks seminar this past weekend. It was an honor and a pleasure to meet and work with all of you. We wish good luck to you and your dogs. If we can be of any help to you in the future please feel free to contact us at 315-564-5459 or email us at K9Nation1@aol.com. A very special thank you to Bernhard Flinks for sharing his expertise and his wealth of knowledge with us, to Bill Alexander, a USA SCH judge for his technical critique and to Will Rambeau for sharing his extensive know how in dog training and healthcare with us. An extra thank you to Will for bringing his dog Fetz and showing us how to handle a super (and I mean SUPER) competition dog that very few people would be able to handle. I am sure that we will hear the name Fetz at high level competitions in the future, expecially under Will's expert guidance.
Again, many thanks to everyone who attended. We enjoyed having you and we look forward to seeing you again
