I've been lurking in the background reading posts and gaining information for a couple of years now. I've bought a few of the Leerburg DVD's and loved them, have switched to prongs and wish I'd done it 25 years ago when I got my first GSD. Here is a pic of my 2 Boys http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i220/roscothomson/2boys1.jpg Diesel is the short one! 3 years old, German working lines, 78lbs and full of attitude....constantly seeing how far he can push me, wears a prong because he snapped a Halti...he has a neck like a tree trunk! Murphy is the tall one, 2 years old, 75lbs and an extremely agile dog. Both are house pets but I work at basic obedience and take them to the local training club. You certainly can't buy them in shops here but as for being illegal I have not been able to get a deninative answer. The GSD coat hides the prongs......I have only ever have one person comment on them and he used a prong with great success on his Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
