Hi Everyone,
thought it was about time I introduced myself. I've been lurking in the background reading posts and gaining information for a couple of years now. I've bought a few of the Leerburg DVD's and loved them, have switched to prongs and wish I'd done it 25 years ago when I got my first GSD.
Diesel is the short one! 3 years old, German working lines, 78lbs and full of attitude....constantly seeing how far he can push me, wears a prong because he snapped a Halti...he has a neck like a tree trunk!
Murphy is the tall one, 2 years old, 75lbs and an extremely agile dog.
Both are house pets but I work at basic obedience and take them to the local training club.
Hi,
they is some disscusion re prongs in the UK. You certainly can't buy them in shops here but as for being illegal I have not been able to get a deninative answer.
The GSD coat hides the prongs......I have only ever have one person comment on them and he used a prong with great success on his Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
I'm happy to have my dogs under control.
Beautiful dogs John! And welcome John! By the way, which one is you? Just kidding my friend. I've met countless Brits and Scotts here in Orlando on vacation. Feel free to look me up if you ever make it down here and perhaps we can do some training, drink some beers and tell some sea stories. Regardless, welcome!

Scotland- the land of Border collies, bridies and Irn Bru....and very noble-looking GSDs with proud owners, apparently. Handsome photo!
