Luke, I read that story too and found two things unclear: The story says "When Ing tried to retrieve him the dog did not come when called". Well, was he calling his dog while he was still in the airline crate? Was the dog out of the crate when the owner called him? And if he was out of the crate, wouldn't that mean the owner was in custody of the dog? So, how and why did the airline employees get custody of the dog again and, further, why did they take the dog to a place where the owner could not follow and why would the owner allow this??
Seems like a lot of details were left out of this story!
I agree Judy. I took it to mean he retrieved his dog noticed something was wrong, got someone in the airline concerned and they told him they had a vet on call. At which point I assume they took him somewhere in the "back of house" to wait and be treated and he died while waiting.
