what is everyone's opinion on these? I heard about them, but wondered if kevlar would be safe for teeth? My dogs love soft toys like this, but they can only play with them for about 2 seconds before they're shredded. So far I have one recommendation from an owner.
Here is a reply that I got directly from a Kevlar distributor regarding dog toys and Kevlar. My interest was not with toys but with bedding. My friggin dogs will sleep on a cushioned bed long enough to trust them with it, then it's shredded. No more soft warm places for working dogs at my house.
Scott,
There is no harm if they chew it but Kevlar® is not digestible and it is possible if swallowed that Kevlar can cause serious harm or even death in dogs. Dupont has advised us to stop selling Kevlar fabrics for dog chew toys and dog beds for liability reasons.
