Hi all. We went ahead and posted what we have UNOFFICIALLY!!!!!!!! For the working class males. Weather conditions have continued to deteriorate, and we're talking in the pouring rain, running up and down the "final call list" with a pen and paper that is dripping with bleeding ink.
I THINK there is an issue with entry 40, and possibly 49. This is a big deal, because it potentially involves a mistake in the VA ranks. So....if anyone looks at the unofficial results at Mittelwest as written, but has any clarifications, PLEASE let us know right away.
We debated posting these given the potential for mistakes, but we think that people like seeing early results - so we BEG for your understanding given the conditions.
I notice this thread lacking replies of interest on this subject. Only the original posters comments on show results. . .
Hmmmmm . . . .
You are right that my first 3 posts were info only - they did not pose questions - and logically no one made replies.
In terms of guaging interest in the topic at hand, there were over 500 views of this thread topic across 8 or 9 days, and there were over 200 visitors to the host site of the unofficial results that came directly through this site.
So...is that lack of interest?
I obviously am a show line owner. I come here to look for valuable information. I have found a lot of good info as a GSD Newbie (including products i.e. videos) and have let Ed know of my appreciation, because we've gotten value from both the products and discussions on this site.
After 2+ years of trying to figure it out, I still don't get the seeming rift between working line and show line enthusiasts. I see great qualities on both sides (if there are sides) and suitability for different purposes and situations. I'm still waiting to be convinced about why show lines OR working lines are "bad" or "good" from either POV.
In the mean time, statistics aside, please let me know if I should NOT post links to "almost real time Sieger Show information" in the future. If no one is truly interested, then you are right - there is no point.
Beth,
I don't think that it shows a rift ( hey, even I owned a nice showlines GSD in the past <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> ), and I think that the number of views shows that there isn't a total lack of interest, either.
But on a working dog board ( hey, look at how many threads have zip to do about even GSD's, right? ) there will be less comments on subjects that forum members don't know much about - and I bet that would hold true on showlines forums regarding working line threads.
I personally am indebted to the work that you've done posting the results here and I hope that you'll continue to do so in the future.
