Something else to consider is seborrheic dermatitis. This could be due to excess fat in the diet, combined with not enough exercise...or individual metabolic issues...or both.
An excellent (and so far overlooked <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> point.
Thanks to everyone for all thier support and ideas concerning Drago's (my gsd pup)itching, scratching, eye watering etc. After awhile on the elimination diet without much imporvement I called Wayne at Kraftwerk K-9 and he said it might be climate related and said I could send him back and he would replace him or refund my money. Well for the good of the dog I decided to return him to Wayne even though I really did not want to part with such a beautiful intelligent dog. I have since spoken with Wayne and he said the eyes have stopped tearing and that Drago is doing GREAT. So I know I really did what was best for the dog.
This just reinforces what I said in a previous post that Wayne is a honest first class breeder. Thanks for listening Jack
