Laura, you might want to do a bit of searching for a holistic vet who would support the raw diet and that sort of thing. Though I just occasionally feed raw myself (my dogs get Chicken Soup), as someone trained as a biologist before I will be trained as a vet, it makes sense to me to feed a diet with no corn, wheat, soy, etc as there is just no way farmers have to worry about wolves raiding their corn and wheat fields. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> If I recall, it is companies like Purina who actually "help" teach the few nutrition classes in vet school. When I have my own practice, there will be no Hill's Science Diet sitting in the front office, I can tell you that much.
