Sorry if I got off topic, but when i hear 'vicious dog laws' I think of the banned pit bulls.
Guess I should of put the post in the pit bull one. O well, and way if anyone else has anything to say i'd like to hear it. Sorry again

The media got a chance to demonstrate their bias though.
Quote from article:In November, six children were reportedly attacked in Cary, Illinois by three pit bulls , and in 2005, a fourteen-year-old was killed after being mauled by four dogs near her home in the northwest town of Erie.End Quote
Anybody else notice how it`s either a pit bull or the breed isn`t listed?
There was a pit bite in the city I live in this past year. Animal control was called by multiple neighbors, multiple times. Animal control officers said there was nothing they could do until the dog bit somebody. BUT they overlooked like 5 animal control ordinances plus the public nuisance and disturbing the peace ordinances.
There you have it! They really need to figure out how to enforce these basic laws. It's not rocket science for crissakes!
Just think of how many bites/maulings/deaths that could have been avoided had people followed basic leash laws!!!!
Here's a good video for you. my .02 Check it out !@! Pit Bull Video
i'm really loath to reply to this when the whole pit discussion has been ruled by popular vote as "off topic" for this thread, but i just want to say that that's the second time i've seen pro-pit propoganda that contained one small bit that angered me:
the people who have their dogs posing with infants. doesn't matter what breed of dog i own, any infant will be off limits, period. accidents happen, and an infant is far too delicate to be anywhere near said accident. IMO people who let any dog (including, or perhaps especially, the cranky little breeds) near an infant are being irresponsible.
Ashley ,I undertand why you feel the way you do.You probably see so much sadness at the shelter and it is so frustrating when people don't realize the volume of dogs being put down because of stupid people who fight dogs and the stigma they have created for pitts.
They don't put those people(that fight dogs) in jail long enough and I wish they would hit them where it hurts, their pockets.
Not enought is being done at all.Sorry if it's off the subject guys!
