In Cesar's book, he says that in more than 20 years of working with dogs, he found 2 "red-zone" dogs that could not live safely with humans. He added that maybe 1% of aggressive dogs that he saw were so deeply damaged or had a mental imbalance that they were not safe to return to society.
I haven't finished the book, but it would seem that common sense that these dogs would always be a work in progress. I should say, that's the way I would handle the situation.
Sorry, I don't have anything to say about Southpark.

Oh come on, Jeff!! There were like 3 mentions of Southpark in a thread with over 40 comments. Many people have responded specifically about CM's methods. This is primarily a working dog forum. CM is dealing with & responding to problems in the pet dog world. Yes, a lot of "red zone" dogs can be rehabilitated, depending on the commitment of the owner. Ask a specific question, you will probably get a specific answer. If you need help finding your sense of humor, my pup is coming along pretty nicely in tracking, he may be able to help you find it. <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
To those of you that read Cesar's book, Can a red zone dog actually be " rehabilitated" to the place it can be placed back into society? Once a dog has reached the "balance" is it rehabilitated or is that balance a precarious thing?
Jeff, I haven't read the book yet, but IME, it depends on the degree of damage done to the dog.
Most dogs only need structure, some dogs can be damaged to the extreme of irreversible neurological changes which may or may not be able to be managed through diet, exercise, supplements and medication. I believe the latter is extremely rare, while the vast majority of "red-zone" dogs are created by handler error and/or lack of education.
Yah, Yah!
Cesar is looking at a friends property, to purchase,
just outside LA, because it's a mansion, and it's in the kennel zone!
Did my valley accent come through?
