Does anybody know if there is a reputable Schutzhund Club in Rochester Michigan or SE Michigan?

The "Falconhurst Canine Corps" run by AJ Slaughter in the state of MI has been around for about two decades and has certainly passed the test of time - plus they title a lot of dogs.

There are a number of Schutzhund clubs near your area that are really good clubs.

The Belleville Dogsport Association in Belleville, Michigan ran by Diane Madigan (email:diatbda@aol.com). That place is perhaps the nicest and best organized Schutzund club in the state. They have a beautiful field, stadium lighting, indoor training, just a class act the whole way round. However, they are VERY difficult to get into as there are not often many openings for new members and they try to keep their numbers managable.

Falconhurst Police Canine Corps is also a well established Schutzhund club with an excellent trainer and helper. However, I've heard from many that he can be very tough on dogs, but hey that isn't all together a bad thing.

The Capital Area Schutzhund club is nice, well run, and filled with some really friendly, down-to-earth, good people and has as one of its member the best Schutzhund trainer in the state. PM me and I'll tell more about this great trainer.

The hardest thing is to find a club that 1) is not a million miles away, and 2) can take on new members.
