I have some questions! <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
I have no clue what to do with the crate training! Im getting my pup in about a month and am getting really nervous! Am I really supposed to leave her in the crate so many hours? How frequently do I take her out? My boss is being VERY generous and letting me bring my pup to work! I am confused on whether I should keep the pup in a crate all day or get a puppy pen and put a few toys in? Please any info on crate training an 8 week old puppy is welcome! I really did read the articles that Ed wrote but am still so confused!!!!!!
Thanks in advance for anything you might tell me!!! <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
If you can bring the pup to work, you are very lucky. Just take her out at intervals to where she can relieve herself. When we got our last pup, we took some vacation time, then one of us stayed home till mid-morning with him, so that he was only crated 4 hours a day, until our daughter came home from school. We did this until he was about 4 months old, then he stayed in the crate up to 6 hours. Since he has never been destructive, he was let free during the day at about 8 mo old. The crate was primarily used for house-breaking, and now for meals. He never really complained about being crated.
thanks for everything ! I think it helped ! I will recommend this website for anyone! It's GREAT!!!!! <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
