Although I have spent most my energy with my female am Staff, I have been using the same techniques (minus the e-collar I use for her, with him a prong does well) with my male APBT. He is 9 years old and is very well bred. He has never shown dog aggression or any other type, but he does get excited when he sees other dogs and gets "dancy". We spent the week at the shore on vacation. I walked each dog in the early morning and right before the sun set to avoid the heat. I was walking my Buddy past this small grassy park yesterday morning when I spotted a young man sitting on a bench reading the paper and drinking coffee. The next instant this beautiful blond GSD and a black lab/pit mix (looked like to me) come charging at me and Buddy off leash. I was surprised I did not panick, I commanded Buddy to a sit and stood in front of him and prepared to defend my dog, while I was yelling at the idiot to get off his butt and contain both his dogs. The GSD got close but the guy grabbed him and then spilled his coffee fumbling for the second dog. The whole while Buddy just sat...the guy spilled his coffee all over himself...hope it was hot!!!! My Buddy was great....I love when the training works <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
