I see this brand all over the internet. It seems to make sense. I am looking into the raw diet but have not decided I have ordered a couple books ed suggested. The other brand is Wolf Cub Bison. I have a 12 weelk GSD that the breeder has had on 1/2 puppy chow and 1/2 biljac puppy chow.
When I looked at Honest Kitchens site they seemed not to recomend the dehydrated stand alone, in other words mix iwsth some raw. Not sure yet if I want to go there.
I live in Dallas so I have acess to most of the Super Premium Brands like Wolf Cub. Diamond, Flint River
I saw the Wolf Cub food at the organic market a few months ago. It was on sale for $10.00 for a 20lb bag. I was going to look into it, as do not believe this market would carry it if it were not organic and high quality. What do you pay for this food and what are it's main ingredients? Is it organic? I'll check it out with the market too.
PS. I saw the big sign identifying the sale price, only glanced at the bag from the check out isle...it *appeared* to be about 20 lbs or so, (ie: smaller than a standard 35 lb bag yet bigger than an 8-10 lb bag....)
Hi Tim, I put my 9 mos pup on this food. I was on Honest and tell ya it is great, but I just could not afford this foor.. My dog is about 80 pnds now. He is finaly after 3 kibble brands doing good... I like it. It might not be the best "I do not know that much about kibble always fed raw) but pup is happy and looks good and his poop is not runny or huge amounts, anymore like it was on the other kibble. I still give him raw meat.. a bit every day-he wont eat kibble alone. . I had his blood checked and stool.. looking good.

You don't say why not. Are you just asking for others' opinions?
THK is perfect for raw add-ins. It's not baked and extruded; it's raw, dehydrated at low temperatures.
It's expensive served alone; it's much much less expensive when raw meat (and/or RMBs) are added.
I think it's the best thing since sliced bread as backup or travel substitute for raw, and if I couldn't feed mainly raw I would feed THK every day, with raw add-ins.

Just looking for opinions, not sure if I have the time to invest into learning it. If I go at it without the research I may screw up the dogs diet worse then kibble.

Thanks so much Martina, I love my puppy he is trying to challenge me for the Apha Male position at 12 weeks, but is starting to figure out no way. His sire's sire was a Swedish police dog and his mother is a trained protection dog so he has been a little bit of handful.
