We have a case of Kennel Cough in my kennel. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
The only place that we could have gotten this is from sharing a bite sleeve during training.

Any and all suggestions on disinfectiong a Bite Sleeve wouyld be greatly appreciated.
Yes, for those that will ask. Fanni has been vacinated for kennel Cough. That is proberly the reason she does not have as bad a cough as the other two.
Hopefully someone has some experience with this concern.
Thanks,
Is it your sleeve that you are trying to disinfect, or do you want to disinfect someone elses sleeve prior to use?
If its yours I'd toss the cover and buy a new one. Before putting in on the sleeve, I'd wipe the sleeve inside and out (liberally) with a 10% bleach solution, let dry and repeat 2-3 times over the next week.
There is no effective way to sanitize between dogs at training.
Bordatella can be transmitted in the air, so disinfecting the sleeve won't get rid of the problem.
There are also many other bacteria that can cause similar symptoms, so getting a vaccine doesn't mean your dog is safe. I don't know how much if any cross strain protection there is with the vaccine.
