My 17 month old GSD likes to "shake" or "kill" the sleeve once the decoy slips it off. If I wait too long she'll start to chew on it. I've tried to get her to do the "Victory lap" with it like my other dog does but she just spits it out and wants to play. Any suggestions?
Eds video goes over this, preparinig your dog for the helper. you may try creating a calm grip after she bites. place your hand under her chin and rub her head calmly while saying good girl. Once she will hold it calmly then start walking a few steps and the praise again. i believe this is how it is done in his video. i would suggest buying it. there is a bunch of good info on it.
