There are some loony's out there but I always thought the humane society was fairly well grounded -- though I am would probably humanely euthanize some of the abused animals they pump money into to rehabilitate.
Good, I was hoping it wasn't true! I like some things that HSUS things, other things I do not like. I think they've opened up to the idea of ferret keeping but they don't much care for people keeping exotics. Yes, some people are idiots and shouldn't own them but others do a fine job of it. They also oppose all animal research, which I oppose as well if it's for cosmetics but for beneficial medical research, hey anything helps, right? They're sorta on my iffy-list due to research I did a few years ago, but I don't know if they've changed lately or not.
I saw this on another forum also and was ROFL at the idea. But, I got to thinking then. Hmmmmm, could we give the "Canine-Americans" the right to vote and take it away from the "Human-Americans"? We might actually get some Representatives that had some sense that way.
