Yes there are some dogs that fall thru the cracks but I would say 60% could do both. It would depend on the hardness/sharpness of the dog and his defense drive. There are a lot of what are called, soft dogs, in SchH because softness can be covered up with prey drive and the routine. That would not mean the do could not do real work but there would be catagories dependent on the work the dog could do and to what percentage the dog was reliable. There are also those dogs in SchH that according to the rules would be kicked out of the sport if in some way they did not cover up theire dogs nerves or whatever fault it may be.
